Job / Position Summary Responsibilities

Instrumentation & control components calculation, selection, and integration. Previous experience with Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems instrument selection. Previous experience with HAZOP & LOPA. Self-starter, positive, with a strong ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization with limited supervision. Thorough understanding of all applicable NA Electrical, & Safety standards. Experience with the following standards UL508, UL508A, NFPA79, NFPA 70, CSA. equivalent, NEC, CEC, OSHA, and other standards for North America. Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE. Thorough background in PFD, P&ID, Electrical drawings, & LV considerations. Good command of WSCAD, SEE Electrical, ePlan, AutoCad Electrical, Conval. Working understanding of Siemens PLC’s, analog / digital inputs, etc. Experience with projects for Hazard Location specially in North America. Proactive person who takes ownership over the assigned duties. Experience in international engineering teams. Previous experience with DFMA. Previous experience developing and driving internal WF processes cross disciplines. Ability to work in design, & selection environments, as well as manufacturing & commissioning. Must be able to deal with complex and sometimes contradicting requirements. Can handle ambiguity by decoupling major goals into achievable work packages. Ability to travel as needed. Required Skills

Experience with change and BOM management to support manufacturing and engineering teams. Experience dealing with plant / supplier and design quality issue – First point of contact to provide quick resolution or coordinate with cross functional team. Experience with wiring tool and able to read simple to complex wiring diagrams. Good / basic understanding of UL / CSA / NEC, electrical / instrument components, panel design, sizing and routing of cables. Experience working in a cross functional team (good in communicating within team). Additional Skills

Practical experience handling electrical instruments & component design, selection, installation, and commissioning. Previous EPC, Oil & Gas experience is considered an asset.
