As the
Manager of Solution Consulting for the US Public Sector Sales (USPSS) business unit , you will lead a team of solution consultants who play a critical role in driving sales revenue by helping customers solve complex business problems. You'll combine leadership, technical expertise, and sales acumen to ensure your team can position, demonstrate, and deliver the value of OpenText's Enterprise Information Management (EIM) solutions. Reporting directly to the Director, USPSS Solution Consulting, you will align your team's efforts with business goals, influence top opportunities, and shape the future of solution consulting in the public sector.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
Develop, lead, and recruit the USPSS Solution Consulting team, ensuring the right mix of skills to meet sales and customer needs.
Equip and guide the team to confidently demonstrate and articulate the value of OpenText EIM solutions across ECM, DX, and SAP.
Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities, mitigate risks, and collaborate with functions such as Professional Services, Cloud, GIS, Proposals, and Engineering.
Take personal ownership of the top five deals each quarter, ensuring strong alignment with business unit goals.
Build and maintain ROI metrics and reporting tools (via SFDC and other data sources) to track performance against revenue objectives.
Work closely with Sales leadership to ensure the Solution Consulting team is aligned with corporate and business unit strategies.
Support the partner community with enablement and peer collaboration.
Foster close relationships with Strategic Architecture, Value Engineering, and Product Units to deliver optimized customer solutions.
Act as a thought leader within the Solution Consulting organization, providing vision and best practices for solution selling.
Travel within the US and to company/industry events as required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
8+ years of direct software (or related) pre-sales support experience, with at least 5 years managing technical consulting teams.
Strong background in solution selling techniques, with the ability to translate technology into business value for customers.
Proven ability to operate independently with strong problem-solving, task ownership, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills with experience presenting to VP and C-level audiences.
Deep knowledge of EIM technologies and business processes.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and retain high-performing technical consultants.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
BS degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related discipline.
Ability to travel as required.

Salary Range:
$142,380 - $233,910; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
