Overview
Senior AI Cyber Defense Consultant — Senior Solutions Consultant role focusing on advancing AI cybersecurity programs for healthcare clients. This remote role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing AI-driven cybersecurity strategies, translating complex challenges into compliant and resilient security solutions that protect patient data and critical systems. Requires deep cybersecurity expertise, strong AI/ML understanding, and a passion for safeguarding healthcare.
This onsite/remote position may include occasional on-site travel and requires a proactive, independent leader who can collaborate across all organizational levels.
Responsibilities AI Risk Management & Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments for AI/ML systems, address adversarial attacks, data poisoning, and model inversion; design and implement strategies to mitigate AI-specific security risks.
AI-Power Security Deployment & Integration: Lead design, development, integration, and implementation of AI-driven security solutions (e.g., anomaly detection, threat intelligence, automated incident response); align AI initiatives with business goals and regulatory mandates.
AI/ML Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for cybersecurity use cases (e.g., intrusion detection, UEBA, SOAR).
Threat Intelligence & Incident Response: Monitor AI/ML threat landscapes and healthcare regulations; develop best practices and thought leadership; create automated incident response playbooks and conduct post-incident analysis to improve AI models.
Education & Enablement: Develop and deliver training focused on threat awareness and preventing data leaks.
Program Development & Governance: Establish AI governance programs, policies, and processes for safe, ethical, and compliant AI; oversee DLP governance related to AI data use cases and tools.
Strategic Advisory & Collaboration: Advise clients on AI-driven cyber defense, risk assessments, and healthcare regulatory compliance; report on AI trends and threats; assess client security postures and develop AI/ML integration roadmaps; collaborate with project managers to plan deployment of new AI technologies.
Qualifications Education & Experience : Minimum 8 years in cybersecurity with at least 2 years focusing on AI technologies, data security, threat analysis, governance, risk and compliance, and vulnerability management. Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, Data Science, IT or related field; Master’s preferred. Equivalent professional experience considered.
Certifications : CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, and AI/ML-related certifications (SANS SEC595, CAIP, AWS/GCP/Azure ML certs).
Technical Skills : Deep AI/ML expertise (GenAI, LLMs like ChatGPT, Gemini); proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, Scikit-learn; strong cybersecurity foundation; data security, DLP, cloud security on AWS/Azure/GCP; SIEM (Splunk, QRadar, etc.), EDR, SOAR; network security and NDR; OS hardening; scripting (Python, PowerShell, Java, Bash); adversarial ML and data poisoning; AI red teaming & threat modeling; AI incident response & model interpretability (SHAP, LIME); privacy-preserving AI (diff privacy, federated learning); security platforms and governance tools across major clouds.
Soft Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences; ability to work independently in remote settings and manage multiple client engagements.
Compliance & Standards : Knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO/IEC 27001/27002; familiarity with HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, PCI DSS, GDPR.
