Overview

Full time/ In office position Conduct investigations, site observations, review of submittals, complete and review analysis, and design calculations; execute and manage the preparation of drawings and specifications; assist with mentoring of junior staff; manage project budgets and schedules; interact with clients; and prepare technical reports. Responsible for analysis and design of structural elements for commercial, industrial and food processing facilities. Applications include foundations, mat slab, structural steel framing, tilt-up walls, precast concrete structures, concrete design, masonry walls, wood design and light-gauge metal framing. Preparation of contract documents, calculations, observations reports, and estimates. Working knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, FBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, as well as of AutoCAD, Revit, RAM Structural System, RISA 3D, Enercalc and Excel is . Ability to interpret codes, insurance underwriter requirements and adherence to client specific standards Assist with proposal development, both scope and man hour estimating Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work on multiple tasks while participating on varying project teams to provide multiple cost-effective solutions Masters in structural engineering from an ABET- accredited university with a minimum of 15 years’ experience Professional engineer licensed in CA, IL, NY, and Washington is a plus Responsibilities
