This individual will lead a mix of on-shore and off-shore government pricing staff to ensure the company’s compliance with all federal mandated programs. Included in the company’s compliance obligations will be the timely and accurate calculation and submission of statutory price reporting to the respective government agencies on a quarterly, monthly and yearly schedule. As the regulatory landscape is rapidly changing, this position will require the ongoing analysis of new government regulations as they relate to reporting obligations. This individual will be encouraged to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies. Responsibilities Direct operations of US & India-based government pricing staff with responsibilities related to pharma manufacturers statutory requirements related to AMP, Best Price, ASP, URA, PHS, NFAMP, FCP/FSS, IFF, Medicare Part D & TriCare rebates Manage state Medicaid invoice processing staff for quarterly processing of all 50 states, DC & Puerto Rico. Oversee internally assigned customer classes of trade Provide internal communications, insights and guidance regarding the impact of Federal or State legislation on Government reporting/calculations and their projected impact Perform internal training sessions to stakeholder departments to better understand their specific role in the company’s participation in the Federal Healthcare market and assess the risks associated Voting member of internal Pricing Committee Provide ad hoc analysis on various special projects as they arise Participate in other government activity as required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related degree. CPA or MBA a plus. 10 + years of government pricing experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Both Brand and Generic pricing experience are highly preferred. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong computer skills, including Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup), Power Point and MS Word & Access experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact well with internal/external parties, including Sales, Rebates, Finance, IT, and Government Agencies Self-motivated and goal oriented with the ability to drive process change and meet deadlines with minimal assistance or guidance Working knowledge of Government Pricing systems such as Vistex, Revitas, Model N or iContracts.
