$140,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr Kipsu is seeking a versatile and passionate Senior UI/UX Product Designer to be a member of our growing Product + UX team. This is a generalist role for someone who thrives on variety and wants to touch every part of the design process, and will be the first full time UX and design hire at Kipsu. You will be instrumental in shaping our user experience, from high-level strategic thinking to pixel-perfect execution of design deliverables. You will be a champion of our users, taking ownership of our new design system, leading design for key product delivery teams (collaborating closely with product, engineering and QA) and kickstarting our formal UX research practice. End-to-End UX & UI Design: Serve as the lead designer for one or more agile product delivery teams. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers through the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery and ideation to launch. Hands-On Design Execution: Translate complex user needs and business requirements into intuitive and beautiful user experiences. Your deliverables will include user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for features across the product. Design System Leadership: Own, maintain, and evolve our existing web and mobile design systems. You will create new components, establish usage guidelines, ensure consistency and coherence across all digital platforms, write documentation, and work with engineering to ensure consistency and quality across all our products. Foundational UX Research: Establish and lead our UX research discipline. You will plan and conduct user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and other research methods to uncover user insights and validate design decisions. Synthesize & Evangelize: Turn raw research data into actionable insights, creating artifacts like personas, journey maps, and research reports. You will partner with Product Managers to be the voice of the user, effectively communicating findings to stakeholders across the company. Collaboration & Strategy: Actively participate in product strategy, roadmap planning, and design critiques. You will be a key partner to product and engineering, championing a user-centered design approach in everything we do. What We\'re Looking For

8+ years of experience in a UX, UI, or Product Design role, preferably within a B2B SaaS or tech product company. A strong portfolio that showcases your design process, problem-solving skills, and a range of projects, including user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI. Please provide a link to your portfolio with your application. Proven experience working with web and mobile designs that meet WCAG accessibility standards. Proven experience working with and contributing to design systems. You understand the principles of component-based design and its importance for scaling. Demonstrated experience in planning and conducting UX research. You are comfortable talking to users and know how to translate their needs into design solutions. Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, specifically Figma. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You can clearly articulate your design rationale, receive and adapt to feedback, and are comfortable presenting your work to diverse audiences. Ability to work and collaborate across multiple delivery teams to drive consistency in implementation of design. A pragmatic and proactive mindset. You are a self-starter who can manage ambiguity and balance user needs with technical constraints and business goals in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have

Experience in the hospitality or hotel-tech industry. Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment. A basic understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Experience with user analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Hotjar). Experience in a B2C environment running UX Research interviews and advocating for the user.
