We are seeking a skilled and creative
Instructional Designer
to support a large-scale migration of training content from
Litmos LMS
to
Cornerstone Talent Management System . This temporary contract position will focus on rebuilding and modernizing eLearning courses using
Articulate Rise 360 , ensuring they align with our updated branding, compliance requirements, and learner experience goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced projects, brings a learner-first mindset, and has experience in end-to-end instructional design.
Contract Details
Length: 3 months Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) or Part-time (Negotiable) Rate: Based on experience Hybrid or Remote based on location
Key Responsibilities
Audit existing courses hosted in Litmos and document structure, interactivity, and content elements. Rebuild and redesign legacy courses in Articulate Rise 360 to match current design standards and brand guidelines. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and L&D team to clarify learning objectives and translate technical content into engaging, learner-friendly formats. Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create effective digital learning experiences. Ensure compatibility and functionality of SCORM packages within Cornerstone LMS. Conduct quality assurance (QA) testing to ensure course accuracy, accessibility, and responsiveness across platforms. Maintain project documentation and adhere to course development timelines and checkpoints. Provide input on course evaluation strategies, including pre/post assessments or learner surveys.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field. Minimum 3 years of instructional design experience, preferably in a corporate or compliance-driven environment. Proficiency with Articulate Rise 360 (samples or portfolio preferred). Experience with at least one enterprise Learning Management System (LMS)—Cornerstone strongly preferred. Familiarity with SCORM and xAPI course packaging and standards. Demonstrated experience applying adult learning theory, ADDIE, and/or agile learning methodologies. Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone, clarity, and engagement. Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently. Strong interpersonal communication skills and comfort collaborating remotely.
Preferred Skills
Experience with LMS migration projects. Graphic design or video editing (Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) standards. Familiarity with compliance training or safety-related topics.
