Principal Business System Analyst position at Cloud Software Group. About This Team
Oracle Fusion core team is spread across US and India to support business users across multiple geography and regions. This key role will work closely with business leaders. The team focuses on transforming business processes, resolving issues, supporting month and quarter end, and adopting new technologies, automation, and AI within Oracle Fusion and related applications. The team also supports day-to-day issues and critical periods, especially month/quarter end times. Job Description / Responsibilities
Lead an application team to support Quote to cash and General Finance track from integration and reporting perspectives. Plan, prioritize, and solution business requirements for existing/new integrations and reporting. Participate in sprint planning, bug fixes, enhancements, and new initiatives. Manage technological tools within Oracle Fusion and integrations between different touchpoints. Implement strategic goals established by functional leadership. Work closely with business during month and quarter end for a smooth period close. Learn on the job new technologies and support AI initiatives. Support out-of-the-box (OOB) and custom reporting, reconciliation; proactively identify areas for improvement. Ensure milestones are delivered on time and provide visibility / clear communication to set expectations. Document changes, prepare technical documents, review business requirements, and work on solution design/architecture. Perform system changes, proofs of concept (POCs), user access controls, ad hoc queries, and data reconciliation. Utilize Oracle Fusion functionalities to address underlying problems; interact with Oracle support as needed. Establish operational plans with short- to mid-term impact on results (1–2 years); contribute to new products/processes and standards. Improve existing processes and systems through conceptual thinking and analysis; handle complex, often undefined problems and conduct root cause investigations. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders; influence others to adopt new concepts and approaches; engage with executive leadership on important matters. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to colleagues; manage large, cross-functional project initiatives of strategic importance. Qualifications and Experience
Fully in-office 5 days a week in San Ramon location. 8–10 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion ERP applications (technology, integrations, OTBI, BI Platform, BI Publisher, ATP Database) and knowledge of system architecture and order-to-cash processes. Techno-functional expertise in quote-to-cash, particularly OM, Subscription Management, AR. Strong knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and integration services with peripheral systems. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Experience ensuring accurate change management processes and documentation with business and IT teams. Experience with Fusion schema (tables, APIs) and subject areas; hands-on data upload using FBDI templates; reporting with BIP, OTBI, FRS, and Smart View. Experience with data conversions (master and transactional data) and software/configuration migration methodologies. Prepare technical documentation including design documents, technical specifications, and user guides. Experience working in an offshore/onsite support model. Self-motivated, proactive, independent, and able to think outside the box. Mastery level knowledge of job area; may have deep knowledge of project management; university degree or equivalent with significant prior experience (12+ years, or 8+ years with Master’s, or 5+ years with PhD). Optional Experience / Skills
Good understanding of Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC); RMCS knowledge is a plus. Experience with Oracle Fusion Financials, CPQ, CRM is a plus; Oracle Fusion certification in Finance or similar areas is a plus. M&A experience and tech industry experience are pluses. Compensation may vary by location, qualifications, and experience. NYC: $163,041-$244,561; CA: $170,130-$255,194; other locations: $141,774-$212,662.
