We respond to technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and support the transition to a low-carbon economy. Responsibilities
Designs and develops plans and drawings related to ITS design and traffic studies, including preliminary layouts and final drawings. Organizes and conducts engineering investigations and planning work with well-defined scope. Supports development of planned/unplanned events, traffic data, road geometrics, construction plans, and other inputs to understand and plan for traffic impacts and mitigation strategies. Develops and maintains response plans and other resources to support traffic operations. Interfaces with construction project stakeholders and provides regular support related to management and operations of major work zones. Assists in planning, design, and production of engineering drawings and maps; prepares specifications. Participates in engineering investigations and planning work, including data collection and analysis using established procedures and routine calculations; evaluates feasibility of alternatives. Prepares relatively straightforward reports and dashboards (Power BI, Excel, Word) under periodic review of an experienced professional. Reviews shop drawings for conformance with specifications during construction and prepares progress records; observes construction procedures and evaluates quality control results. Researches feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory specifications. Contributes to development of specifications and permit applications and writes reports; prepares preliminary man-hour, cost, and material quantity estimates. Participates in quality checks and collaborates with other disciplines; performs field observations of construction as appropriate. Uses data analytics to develop meaningful metrics and KPIs for the client; proficient in Python, Power BI, and JSON to deliver reports and analysis. Projects may include smaller-scale project management tasks. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. This level may be achieved by engineers with relevant years of experience (typically six to ten years since bachelors degree). Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills. P.E. license is required. What We Offer
