Data Architect role at XL Construction. This is a confidential replacement for a key technical contributor and is limited to Bay Area-based candidates. What You’ll Do
Design and maintain scalable data architecture frameworks that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational systems. Lead implementation and optimization of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to ensure consistency across platforms. Develop and manage SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data standards, governance policies, and integration strategies. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and platforms that support data architecture and MDM. Support data modeling, metadata management, and data cataloging initiatives. What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 7+ years of experience in data architecture, with a strong emphasis on SQL and MDM. Proven experience with enterprise data platforms, data lakes, and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS). Deep understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across business and technical teams. Preferred Experience
Tools such as Informatica MDM, Profisee, or Semarchy. Familiarity with Azure Data Services, AWS Redshift, or Snowflake. Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, HIPAA, GDPR). Why Join XL

In accordance with California’s pay transparency regulations, the base salary range for this position is $180,000 – $220,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
