You will join a world class team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers responsible for further development and enhancement of the globally launched Robotic Assisted Surgery platform. Surgical Robotics is part of Medtronic’s Medical Surgical Portfolio, with a focus on expanding global access to care and reducing variability through robotic and analytics solutions. Located at the Medtronic office in the Seaport District of Boston, MA, you are responsible for managing and leading several software engineering teams across the globe in embedded and platform software development, providing technical guidance, and ensuring project success. You will focus on developing and growing talent within the team, collaborating with global teams, and contributing to the Robotics Software overall technical strategy. Responsibilities

Oversees activities of the company’s development and design requirements for software systems, applications and software quality assurance for enhancements and new products, including cloud-based or internet-related tools, to meet current and future software needs. Manages activities to assure programs are appropriately resourced and ensure continuous improvement in technical capability, process, and compliance. Manages scope, cost, and schedule within a cross-functional development team. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Minimum Qualifications

Must have:

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience with 5+ years of management experience. Working Conditions

Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico): $175,200.00 - $262,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range applies across the United States, excluding certain locations; the offered rate may vary based on experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
