Jobs via Dice . Kforce Technology Staffing is seeking the following for a client in Carlsbad, CA: Senior/Principal WPF Software Engineer. The Senior Software Engineer will work with the development team to create Windows PC based applications for a medical device console with a modern graphical user interface and underlying data communication, processing, storage and retrieving mechanisms. The Software Engineer will also develop PC based applications for lab usage per engineering requests. Responsibilities
Develop Windows PC based GUI applications Create software modules to communicate with other hardware components with established protocols Analyze and understand legacy systems and work within existing design frameworks Lead development of a 3D mapping system for a medical device application Create software modules for data storing and retrieving Generate data processing algorithms and applications Provide documentation suitable for design verification and validation Other duties as assigned Requirements
WPF experience: Ideally 5+ years, minimum of 3 years Medical device experience is mandatory Heavy emphasis on UI design and 3D data rendering Must be autonomous and capable of working with minimal guidance Must collaborate effectively across the team, no siloed work Database handling experience is required, specifically working with local SQL databases (not server-based) Ability to design, implement, revise, and manage database schemas Compensation & Benefits
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
