Overview
Solutions Architect, AWS WWPS SA - EDU & SLG West. AWS is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our State and Local Government business within the World Wide Public Sector practice. You will help shape and deliver strategies to enable broad use of AWS computing, machine learning, and AI services, working with customers and our ecosystem of partners. Responsibilities include owning the technical engagement and success around specific implementation projects, defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing deep AWS expertise, and serving as a security-focused SME for customer applications and services. Own the technical engagement and success around specific implementation projects. Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs. Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and best practices for building applications and services on the AWS platform. Serve as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services. Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community. Collaborate with sales, partners, and customers to drive strategy and adoption of cloud solutions. Basic Qualifications
2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure experience. 4+ years of experience in technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in software development or Internet-related industries. Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud. Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective. Intermediate/advanced knowledge of AWS services. Prior technical role within a sales organization. Prior experience in state or local government. Understanding of infrastructure and security requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CJIS). Experience leading or developing enterprise-scale software products using a structured lifecycle. About the Team and Workplace
