Levi Strauss & Co. This Wholesale Planning Manager role leads the planning function for the Canada Wholesale business. The San Francisco–based position is strategic and hands-on, managing and developing a team of 2–3 planners while partnering with sales, merchandising, inventory management, and key wholesale customers. Reporting to the Director, Merchandise Planning - Canada, you will drive alignment between forecasts and inventory strategies, shaping financial decisions and supporting long-term growth strategies.

Responsibilities

Forecasting, account strategy, and trend response requiring analytical rigor and relationship management.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sales, Inventory Management and wholesale accounts to build bottoms-up sales and inventory plans that support financial strategy and inventory investments.

Own monthly forecasting—identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities to support business performance.

Align top-down financial goals with bottom-up operational plans.

Lead a key segment of the Canada business (Levi’s and Signature Wholesale Accounts) while developing a team of 2–3 planners to drive accountability and build a positive team culture.

Develop and implement data-driven action plans to optimize sales, inventory flow, and margins.

Facilitate monthly planning reviews, support Open-to-Buy (OTB) management across Brands, and coordinate volume alignment meetings with leadership to surface risks and opportunities.

Collaborate with the DTC Planning Manager to align assortment strategies and ensure success across all channels in Canada.

Travel to Canada and visit key accounts regularly to stay close to the market and strengthen customer relationships.

About You

Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of relevant education and experience.

5+ years of planning, Merch planning or strategy experience within the retail industry.

Passionate about driving continuous improvement in planning tools, processes, and systems to enhance accuracy.

Deep understanding of managing planning cycles across multiple channels (retail, eCommerce, wholesale), retail economics, seasonal planning, product margins, and inventory dynamics.

Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, familiarity with planning systems.

Proven experience in people management and team development.

Ability to drive strategy across levels and functions.

Proven success in trend-driven retail environments.

This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $110,500 - $147,300 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
