Overview
ADP is hiring a Director of Network Automation Locations: Roseland, NJ; Alpharetta, GA Lead a high-performing team of automation engineers and architects in a hands-on leadership role that blends technical expertise with strategic direction to drive automation initiatives forward. Balance of hands-on work and leadership/strategy (about 50% each). In this role, you will collaborate across engineering, production, and operations to design, develop, and integrate scalable automation solutions. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring technical teams, and influencing long-term infrastructure strategy. Key responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team across frontend, backend, and scripting disciplines with a focus on career development, trust, and technical excellence. Develop and implement a forward-looking automation architecture strategy aligned with enterprise goals. Focus on outcomes such as speed to market, resiliency, and reducing operational costs. Guide the design and delivery of scalable automation frameworks and tools, ensuring high standards from concept to operational support. Drive the adoption and development of internal automation platforms used across teams (Nautobot, Vault). Collaborate cross-functionally with development, operations, network engineering, and product teams to identify automation opportunities and reduce manual workload. Promote a culture of innovation, agility, and hands-on leadership while fostering continuous improvement. Oversee planning, resource management, and technical execution of projects, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery. Define and monitor performance metrics for automation systems to ensure efficiency, security, and reliability. Provide clear communication to stakeholders and senior leadership regarding project milestones, platform strategy, and team success. Technical & Strategic Focus Areas Automation Platforms:

Collaborate with business leadership and project management to align automation work with priorities and present your team's approach to leadership.
