Overview
Project Manager - Remote at Rancho BioSciences. This is a Part-time temporary position with possibilities to be extended to a Full-Time position, located in the East Coast region and working remotely. Rancho BioSciences is seeking a technical Project Manager to join a global, fully remote team. You will contribute to a dynamic environment focused on data curation, governance, bioinformatics, and AI-driven analytics. What You'll Do
Lead and manage 10-15 concurrent scientific projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of client objectives. Tailor project management methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum, Agile) to suit each project, balancing scientific rigor with flexible, client-focused execution. Develop comprehensive project plans with milestones, timelines, and deliverables aligned with client objectives and Rancho Biosciences goals. Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining proactive communication and managing expectations. Provide strategic leadership to project teams (scientists, bioinformaticians, data analysts) and align efforts with project goals and client needs. Collaborate with cross-functional internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, for seamless execution and resource alignment. Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Lead regular project reviews and progress reports, identifying risks and opportunities to keep projects on track. Cultivate a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within project teams. Develop strategies to optimize project workflows while maintaining high scientific and operational standards. Maintain understanding of the scientific landscape relevant to client projects and service offerings to guide project direction and client interactions. Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines, providing updates on scope changes or challenges as they arise. Must Haves
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, clinical sciences or a related field 3 years Project Management experience Ability to lead developers, manage Jira and run Scrum sessions Strong life sciences background and experience with data management projects Detail-oriented and well organized, with ability to track multiple project budgets and deadlines concurrently Amazing communication skills and attention to detail Strong leadership skills; ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams Experience with development, annotation and/or curation Independently driven and hard working Ability to work effectively in a team environment Nice-to-Haves
