Job Description

We’re looking for a

Technical Project Manager

to lead the execution of complex new product development (NPD) initiatives in a highly technical, cross-disciplinary environment. This role is the critical interface between external customers and internal teams—including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Compliance, Supply Chain, and Account Management—ensuring seamless project delivery from concept through production release. The ideal candidate is not just a coordinator but a technical lead who thrives at the intersection of innovation, execution, and customer engagement. Key Responsibilities

Define and Scope Projects:

Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define project scope, technical requirements, deliverables, and timelines. Resource Planning:

Forecast and allocate technical and operational resources required to meet project goals efficiently. Customer-Facing Project Leadership:

Serve as the single point-of-contact for customers throughout the development cycle; translate evolving customer requirements into actionable internal workstreams. Cost Management:

Monitor and communicate cost estimates and updates, including real-time tracking of materials, labor, and design changes that impact final pricing. Quote Management:

Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure customer quotes are accurate, timely, and reflect evolving project requirements. Purchase Order Tracking:

Liaise with Account Management to ensure all customer POs are accurately tracked, updated, and aligned with project milestones. Design Review Facilitation:

Lead formal design reviews at each development phase; document outcomes and assign follow-ups to ensure technical alignment and risk mitigation. Issue Resolution:

Maintain a live project issue tracker, resolving open items with internal and customer stakeholders to ensure a clean handoff into released production. Schedule Development:

Build and maintain detailed project schedules using modern PM tools, proactively identifying critical path activities and potential delays. Reporting and Communication:

Deliver consistent, data-driven updates to executive and technical stakeholders; adjust strategies and timelines as needed based on risk and performance metrics. Risk Management:

Continuously assess project risks—technical, operational, and financial—and implement corrective actions to mitigate impact. Performance Optimization:

Use KPIs and post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement in project planning and execution methodologies. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline 5–8 years of technical project management experience, ideally in a regulated, manufacturing or product development environment PMP certification

or equivalent project management credential strongly Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary projects through the full product lifecycle—from concept to production Strong working knowledge of

project management platforms

and

collaboration tools

(e.g., MS Project) Proven problem-solving acumen and a systems-thinking mindset Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and non-technical teams Strong organizational skills with a bias for action and delivery Non-remote position; Must be able to work out of our state-of-the-art facility in Torrance, CA Company Benefits
