Overview The Project Director will be responsible for management of Renewable Energy Hydro Projects. They will drive project execution to maximize cash and margin, while delivering projects on time, in conformity with contract, and managing customer expectations.

Essential Responsibilities

Project Execution Strategy: Based on contract, develop and implement the overall strategy for project execution to achieve project performance goals.

Communication: represent GE to the customer; manage internal and external communication loops and interface with the customer.

Project Organization: secure necessary resources for project execution; organize project team with clearly identified roles and interfaces.

Performance Management: monitor KPI's; take necessary actions to guarantee financial, time, quality, and safety performance to maximize project goals.

Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management: establish and monitor Project Quality Plan, Procedures, and EHS Plan; ensure compliance at lowest final cost.

Claim Management: define strategy for claims and lead actions accordingly.

Risk and Opportunities: define Risk Management Plan; constantly update risk and opportunities; follow up on actions and results.

Project Process: manage project from hand-over from Sales through completion at FAC or handover to Service; provide feedback on performance and processes.

People Management: build and lead a project team; define goals, evaluate performance, and provide development plans.

Project Planning: develop and monitor Master Time Schedule and manage project float to ensure timely completion.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Minimum of 5 years of relevant power generation industrial experience

Minimum of 5 years of Project Director experience

Desired Characteristics

Large Construction (EPC) and site experience

Project Management Professional Certification

International project execution

Hydro electric industry experience is highly preferred

University degree in Business Administration, or equivalent commercial background

Background in contract law, claim management, scheduling, risk and change management

Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and to lead programs/projects

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs; established project management skills

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $132,400-$176,300 USD/year. This range is influenced by experience, education, and location. This position is eligible for variable incentive compensation.
