Overview
A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview): As a member of the Financial Modeling & Analytics (FM&A) team, you will be responsible for building, reviewing, and maintaining the financial model for your respective deals within the Project Development portfolio. The FM&A team supports the Project SPV Deal Lead by providing any required quantitative analysis and assists in preparing all vital materials for Investment Committee presentations. As the financial modeling expert, you will review and provide feedback on the accuracy and performance of internal and external financial models.
Responsibilities
Complete multilayered market research in the field of energy infrastructure, highlighting recent transactions in power generation, transmission, hydrogen, and renewables. Analyze sophisticated market data and build PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate key findings. Apply a basic understanding of Siemens Energy’s portfolio of technologies. Build and maintain databases that provide an accurate and best-practices standard processes to ensure outstanding Excel-based valuation tools are applied to quantify key transaction risks, perform sensitivity analyses, estimate potential returns related to investment opportunities and determine optimal allocation of capital among prospective projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in economics, math, and/or finance. Industry experience – 3 to 5 years’ experience within various roles pertaining to M&A consulting, investment/corporate banking, private equity/venture capital, valuation, FP&A or corporate development. Proficiency in building and continually improving integrated financial models using Excel and creating informative PowerPoint presentations for C-suite and board members. Proactive, multifaceted, decisive, and results oriented with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
