Strategic Finance Analyst II (Cloud Spend) – Affirm

We are looking for a passionate and analytically minded professional to join the Strategic Finance organization. This role sits at the intersection of Finance & Data Analytics and partners with Engineering teams with a focus on Cloud spend. It also supports building data modeling and reporting foundations for Technology spend. Overview: Strategic Finance is responsible for budgeting, financial planning, and providing financial guidance to maximize the impact of spend in our largest cost centers. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling and SQL skills, and be capable of collaborating with stakeholders across functions. What You'll Do

Own 3–5 financial models related to Affirm’s cloud spend, with a focus on AWS cost and driving the FinOps journey Own month-end close, monthly re-forecast, and annual budget process for engineering vendor spend Innovate forecasting processes to develop more efficient and accurate financial models using the latest technologies Partner cross-functionally to transform scattered datasets into data models that support operational & financial analytics for Technology Finance Develop and maintain finance dashboards, reports, and visualizations to deliver standardized reporting and actionable insights to Technology leadership Provide Finance leadership with detailed understanding of short- and long-term risks and opportunities for the Technology organization What We Look For

2+ years of experience in fast-paced analytical roles (strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, analytics, etc.) Strong financial modeling skills; experience with cloud financial management is a plus SQL proficiency required; Python or other coding languages a plus Ownership mindset, intellectual curiosity, creativity, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with executives Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture and apply strategic business context Experience with financial planning tools such as Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan, or Adaptive Understanding of managerial accounting a plus BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics or a related field Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range (USA, CA/WA/NY/NJ/CT):

$115,000



$155,000

per year. Base pay range (all other U.S. states):

$102,000



$142,000

per year. Equity grade: 4. Flexible benefits may include equity rewards, stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents.
