Title: Regional Leasing Director
Reports to: Director of Leasing

Job Purpose The Regional Leasing Director (RLD) is responsible for driving leasing velocity, ensuring execution of marketing strategy, and supporting on-site teams across an assigned portfolio of properties. Working closely with the VP of Marketing & Leasing and the Director of Leasing, the RLD serves as a regional leader, coach, and resource, ensuring that leasing teams are equipped, motivated, and aligned with University Partners’ leasing and marketing goals. This role requires regular property travel, performance oversight, and proactive problem-solving to deliver consistent results across the region.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight
Act as the primary leasing and marketing leader for assigned properties, ensuring strategies are executed consistently and effectively.
Partner with Community Managers and Assistant Community Managers to monitor velocity, identify challenges, and implement corrective strategies.
Serve as a liaison between corporate leadership and site teams, ensuring alignment on goals and initiatives.
Leasing & Marketing Strategy
Develop, implement, and oversee property-specific marketing and leasing plans aligned with portfolio objectives.
Review and approve property marketing calendars, promotional campaigns, and recommend effective rate strategies.
Partner with revenue management and marketing teams to ensure property pricing, promotions, and positioning remain competitive.
Ensure compliance with all University Partners policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Training & Development
Train, mentor, and coach on-site leasing teams to ensure best-in-class sales performance and customer experience.
Lead workshops, site visits, and regional trainings on leasing strategies, prospect engagement, and technology tools.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance across leasing teams.
Reporting & Compliance
Monitor leasing velocity and key performance metrics across assigned properties, reporting findings to leadership.
Ensure timely submission and accuracy of required leasing and marketing reports.
Audit compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Complete special projects as assigned by the executive team.
Travel Requirements
Significant travel (40–60%, depending on leasing season) required to support site teams, evaluate market conditions, and identify opportunities.
Qualifications
3+ years of student housing experience required, including a minimum of 2 years managing multi-state leasing and/or regional responsibilities in student housing.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach leasing teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends, and market conditions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present effectively to both small and large groups.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a large portfolio.
Coachable, enthusiastic, and adaptable; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Effective team player; collaborates well across functions and levels.
Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities.
Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university required; or an equivalent combination of education and multi-site student housing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new software quickly.
Experience with Entrata or equivalent property management software; CRM and digital marketing tools a plus.
