The role supports QA/QC standards, oversees project scopes, manages budgets, identifies opportunities for additional scope and revenue, and assists in business development and client relationships to contribute to project success and growth in the renewable energy sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee all civil design aspects for utility-scale renewable projects.
Provide strategic direction, leadership, and mentorship to the design team.
Define project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements.
Prepare and support project proposals.
Establish goals for project deliverables and maintain QA/QC standards.
Improve workflows and products.
Supervise and mentor staff/project engineers.
Participate in business development activities.
Foster relationships with internal teams.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in civil design and technical solutions for renewable projects.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to define project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements.
Proficiency in budget management and proposal preparation.
Knowledge of QA/QC standards and project workflow improvement.
Supervisory experience and mentorship skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong team relationships.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on renewables site design.
