The Bridge Design Build Project Manager works to complete projects within scope, budget and schedule while thoroughly understanding project risks and applicable financial measures. This position focuses on delivering bridge replacement and repair projects for DOTs, with emphasis on bridge design-build. This senior, client-facing role manages the overall client relationship including technical, financial or logistical issues. The role combines selling and developing work with specific clients, leading to a "seller/doer" dual role. Our Bridge Design Build Project Managers identify target market areas and develop marketing plans. They communicate updates to the client, management and project team, and prepare for and attend monthly project review meetings with operations. Complete projects within scope, budget and schedule while managing project risks and financial measures. Maintain a strong client relationship and act as the primary client contact for technical, financial or logistical issues. Lead a seller/doer approach by developing and selling work with specific clients. Identify target markets and participate in marketing plan development. Communicate project updates to clients, management and project teams; lead monthly project review meetings with operations. Set visions and strategies for other Project Managers and support professional development of team members. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer License (PE) required. Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience; minimum 8 years of project management experience. Experience with MassDOT, CTDOT, and/or RIDOT required. Strong design-build experience required. Expert knowledge of the engineering discipline with practical application of best practices. Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.). Understanding QA/QC procedures and related business practices and laws. Demonstrated leadership and ability to work collaboratively; able to lead a team. Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt communication style to audiences. Proficiency with MS Office. Active involvement in a professional engineering society/organization preferred. Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents. Experience managing client relationships and understanding contract requirements. Ability to track and oversee multiple projects; strong problem-solving and independent judgment. Experience managing project accounting processes (budgeting, forecasts, cash management). Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred; knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred. Ability to travel as needed. Salary Range
$131,000 - $161,500 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. Culture / EEO Statement
