Director of Marketing & Outpatient Recruitment
This strategic leadership role oversees patient recruitment and marketing operations for outpatient psychiatric clinical trials across multiple sites. The Director is responsible for meeting enrollment goals, managing cross-functional teams, optimizing campaign performance, and maintaining sponsor relationships. The role requires deep clinical research expertise, budget oversight, and a data-driven approach to recruitment and marketing.
Base pay range $145,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy & Execution: Design and lead multi-site recruitment campaigns for complex psychiatric studies.
Build and manage physician referral networks and community outreach partnerships.
Collaborate with BD, finance, clinical operations, and regulatory teams to align strategies.
Ensure readiness of qualified waitlists and recruitment plans before study launches.
Lead marketing, call center, prescreening, and retention teams (remote and onsite).
Conduct regular KPI reviews and performance evaluations.
Provide training and mentorship to ensure departmental success.
Marketing & Branding Oversight
Manage corporate branding and advertising initiatives across platforms.
Ensure consistency in messaging and compliance with IRB/HIPAA/GCP standards.
Oversee campaign execution timelines and digital strategy (SEO, social media, etc.).
Budget & ROI Management
Own multi-million-dollar budgets across sites.
Track and report ROI, cost-per-randomization, and campaign performance.
Invoice sponsors and manage advertising spend per contract terms.
Reporting & Analytics
Maintain dashboards for lead conversion, campaign ROI, and enrollment metrics.
Share recruitment performance reports company-wide and with sponsors.
Analyze KPIs to refine strategies and ensure enterprise goals are met.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with inpatient recruitment, community outreach, and executive leadership.
Support study startup, site activation, and sponsor bid defenses.
Ensure marketing efforts are customized and balanced across all study settings.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Enrollment targets met by study/site
Lead-to-randomization conversion rate
Cost per randomization/screened lead
Campaign ROI and platform performance
Call center response time and pre-screener productivity
Sponsor satisfaction and referral program conversions
Qualifications
5+ years of clinical trial site experience in patient recruitment (multi-site preferred)
Proven success recruiting across multiple concurrent studies
Experience managing marketing, prescreening, and call center teams
Strong sponsor-facing communication and strategic planning skills
Proficiency in CTMS, CRM, call center software, and marketing analytics tools
Knowledge of AI in recruitment, SEO, and digital media platforms
Willingness to travel (~30%) across South Florida sites
