Overview
Project Manager- Life Science (Design and Construction) – Seattle. PMA is a national real estate advisory firm providing consulting services as the owner’s representative, including development management, project management, program management and investor representation. We partner with clients to provide leadership and strategic guidance for sophisticated real estate needs and challenges, minimizing risk while maximizing outcomes. We are hiring a Project Manager to work with Life Science clients in the Seattle area. This role supports the execution of strategic real estate planning, design, and construction of new buildings, tenant improvements, and facilities assignments. Your Role
You interface with PMA clients and project teams through a successful process of strategic real estate planning, design, and construction. You have 3+ years of development and project management experience within the Life Science or Pharmaceutical sectors. You hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Real Estate Finance, or a related field. You manage projects to meet or exceed client expectations and deadlines and review qualitative program aspects with the owner to verify conformance with project goals. You establish partnerships and serve as a liaison between the client and design/construction professionals; initiate and manage procurement of design, construction, and consultant services. You draft, review, negotiate, and enforce contractual documents for design, construction, and consultants; monitor project budget and schedule, including web-based project controls. You analyze budgets and schedules and their impact on financial objectives; oversee development of architectural and engineering drawings and bid documents. You facilitate project meetings and communicate status to clients, city officials, architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants; anticipate issues and provide solutions for changes to budget or schedule. You review value engineering options, procure peer reviews and specialty consultants, and motivate internal resources as needed. You oversee contractor/vender activities for contractual compliance and authorize contracts and purchase orders; manage the project close-out process and support business development opportunities.
