Job Description Overview WSP is seeking a full-time Ports and Marine Engineer to join our Ports and Maritime Team across multiple offices (Irvine, San Diego, San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Houston, TX). The engineer will work on projects for port authorities, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, terminal operators, contractors, and private entities as part of a growing organization focused on waterfront structural design. Your Impact Perform civil/structural design for marine and upland components under supervision Prepare technical communications (memos and reports) Support creation of plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates per client requirements Collaborate to ensure work product meets scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets Provide design calculations and support broader engineering activities Coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure code compliance Assist with work plan preparation and site coordination Complete required training and uphold company policies and conduct Perform additional responsibilities as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering 3–5 years of relevant post-education experience Familiarity with marine, port, and civil/structural engineering principles and project work Knowledge of marine, port, and coastal construction codes and compliance practices Analytical mindset with sound judgement Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences Ability to work independently and in a team Basic proficiency with technical writing, engineering software, spreadsheets, and related tools Experience with AutoCAD, Revit Commitment to workplace safety and ability to adhere to policies Occasional travel may be required Preferred Qualifications Engineer in Training Certification Prior design experience Active participation in local professional organizations Experience in marine upland facility design Field investigation and construction support experience Hands-on design experience Ability to hold a commercial dive license (ADCI or DCBC) in addition to qualifications Benefits and Compensation WSP provides a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, disability, life; retirement savings; paid leave; parental leave; bereavement and other paid time off). Expected Salary

for all locations: $77,000–$125,000. WSP USA reserves the right to adjust compensation based on qualifications and location.
