Overview

This position is for a Principal RF Hardware design engineer reporting into the RF and Millimeter Wave product development group. The successful candidate will join a team of RF engineers in development of RF and Millimeter ATE instrumentation. The products range from 6 GHz up to 70 GHz in frequency. Responsibilities

Precision measurement receivers, signal sourcing, and DSP functions. Strong grasp of detailed PCB development, RF circuit analysis, and familiarity with calibration of precision instrumentation. System level trouble shooting skills, plus excellent communication and organizational skills are mandatory. Experience within the Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) industry is a definite plus. Work closely with marketing and applications to provide input to marketing strategies and future product developments. Excellent system level troubleshooting skills are mandatory. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) with at least 10 years design experience, Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred. Familiarity with RF generator and receiver architectures. Strong detailed RF circuit analysis and design knowledge. Thorough knowledge of the various RF Parts available in the industry. PCB design and layout for circuitry operating up to at least 8 GHz. Strong simulation experience with tools such as Genesys, HFSS, and MATLAB. Working knowledge of RF power meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and vector signal generators/analyzers. Ability to team with software, hardware, applications, and operations engineering staff, to bring-up new hardware designs and to diagnose chip and board problems. Ability to understand and design RF Systems. Basic Digital Signal Processing knowledge.
