Position Summary... This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team in Walmart ecommerce tackling interesting and evolving challenges related to seller risk. Working at Walmart will allow you to push your limits, challenge the status quo, and make a massive impact across Walmart’s bottom line. This role will focus on risk strategies and controls related to account management practices and account security. It will include risk strategy development and deployment through risk platforms to mitigate account takeover risk along with taking proactive actions to mitigate loss and customer impact. You’ll work closely with decision science, data science, product, engineering, design, legal and compliance to implement the needed tech for account security and security layers that take into consideration agentic account access detection and control layers. Responsibilities
This role will play a primary role in protecting the Walmart bottom line from numerous marketplace risks while enabling seller growth. You’ll be an owner of multiple processes, mechanisms and control layers that help protect Walmart.com from bad actors. You’ll be quickly iterating and testing ways to improve the customer experience, seller experience and financial bottom line.
Technology Landscape Awareness: Requires knowledge of technology strategy and its linkages to domain; basic understanding of existing and upcoming systems, technologies and trends; product technical information; basic understanding of domain specific market standards; basic understanding of methodologies and tools, processes, checkpoints. To get involved and provide support to technology/domain stakeholders to solve complex issues.
Develop business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings. Demonstrate deep functional knowledge of the business unit/domain. Translate requirements into projects, activities, and tasks aligned to overall technology strategy. Serve as an interpreter and conduit to connect business needs with tangible solutions and results. Participate in creating new processes and ways of working. Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing business plans and priorities; removing barriers; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress; developing contingency plans; and supporting continuous learning.
Provides market insights to key stakeholders based on research and business knowledge by communicating data insights and global marketplace trends affecting the business; advising on next steps based on insights, objectives, and research; proposing improvements; and promoting application of insights to support decisions and goals.
