Overview
Global Market and Technology Leader seeking a Traveling Service Technician. This Jobot Job is hosted by Amber Wood. Will be responsible for traveling locally to client sites to repair industrial equipment. Installations, maintenance and troubleshooting of automated storage and retrieval systems as well as sawing equipment.
Work on electrical systems, low and high voltage 24V to 480V
Troubleshoot, change and install electrical components, motors, drives, HMI, PLCs as well as sensors and electronic actuators
Inspect, replace and install mechanical components like chains, sprockets, bearings and shafts
Inspect, change and rebuild hydraulic components from hoses to valves and pumps or motors
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform daily/weekly inspections as assigned by site supervisor and be familiar with lockout/tagout procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and proper tool maintenance
Clean and lubricate vehicles, machinery and components
Document repairs and maintenance using provided forms
Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, blueprints and manuals
Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair; transport tools and parts
Safely adjust, connect or disconnect wiring, piping, and other parts
Install and repair electronic components, gauges, valves and other regulating equipment
Test machines after repair and ensure quality
Use programming devices for fault tracking and parameterization of PLCs
Participate in safety training and job certification requirements
Maintain positive customer relations and comply with company policies
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED and 1 year technical school, or 4 years on-the-job training in industrial maintenance
Ability to use multi-meter for electrical troubleshooting and power tools for mechanical repairs
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively
Ability to perform mathematical calculations and interpret technical instructions
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Salary: $26.00 - $40.00 per hour (base pay range). This range is provided by Jobot. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
