Position Summary
The Senior Director of People and Culture will be responsible for strategic, visionary, and operational decisions and performance of all People and Culture programs under Masonic Health System’s umbrella. This includes HR strategic planning, workforce planning and talent management, recruitment and retention of staff, total compensation and benefits plan development, HR policy development, training and leadership development, employee relations, organization-wide performance management systems, organizational development, and team member relations management. Responsibilities
Develops, implements, and maintains the strategic vision for all People and Culture programs. Direct supervision of the Director of Employee Relations & Benefits and Manager of Recruitment, providing support to the People and Culture Department as a whole. Consultative guidance, support, and direction of all People and Culture programs under Overlook, in coordination with the CEO and business entity leaders. Monitor and maintain a pulse on the culture of the organization using tools such as pulse surveys, organization-wide surveys, one-on-ones, and group sessions to identify cultural wins and opportunities. Analyze trends and prepare critical metrics to ensure competitive advantage in the industry and in specific markets. Manage the People and Culture team members and budget. Identify training needs and develop training programs to meet organizational current and future needs. Design, direct, and administer compensation programs, develop salary ranges, incentive and recognition programs, and merit increase guidelines/budgets in collaboration with the CEO and CFO. Lead and provide oversight on performance management philosophy, programs, and tools. Develop strategy and oversight for all employee benefit programs, including group insurance plans, retirement, and paid time off. Partner with team members and management to resolve employee relations and workplace conflict issues in a timely manner, with support from Senior Leadership when needed. Maintain a human resource information system (HRIS) and other HR-related automated tools to facilitate management decisions and automate administrative processes. Oversee corporate compliance programs, policies, and reporting. Qualifications
3+ years of senior-level experience – required Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or equivalent – required Master’s Degree (e.g., Master of Science in Human Resources or MBA) – preferred Minimum of 10 years of proven operational experience in leadership and staff supervision, with a strong generalist HR background at the senior leadership level – required Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in staff development, training, and supervision, with performance management and metrics for success; ability to lead diverse teams across multi-functional areas – required Solid history of leadership effectiveness in a growth organization; Health Care and/or Senior Living experience – required SHRM or HRCI certifications – preferred Experience leading teams through cultural changes and building a Culture of Service Excellence Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations Extensive experience with change management, partnerships, affiliations, mergers and acquisitions Extensive P&L responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting and management expertise Benefits
