Overview
Counselor
– For Keeps
The Counselor will:
Conduct daily group sessions that address the specific treatment issues of each child
Integrate clinical goals into day-to-day program activities
Provide support to the education services component relative to classroom instruction
Complete all patient documentation at the end of every day
Actively provide input into the multidisciplinary team process
Demonstrate and maintain proficiency in the Handle with Care behavior management system
Follow a vehicle schedule to transport the children to and from program
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum of 1 year in children’s mental health services is strongly preferred and a genuine respect and interest in working with the emotionally disturbed population.
Writing skills and strong interpersonal skills are required.
Familiarity with DSM-IV-TR diagnosis is preferred.
Salary and Benefits Salary Range: 18.96 - 30.33 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
