Overview
Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer z/VSE. Remote - United States The z/VSE Mainframe Systems Programmer will provide support for ongoing projects that require the installation, testing, and implementation of new z/VSE operating systems and other system software. They are self-starters and provide mentoring for day-to-day activities while maintaining ongoing projects that may include installation, maintenance, testing, debugging, and procedural documentation for their areas of expertise. They will research and evaluate new software and hardware products, assist team members and other areas with technical questions and problem resolution, and monitor and tune systems software. Knowledge of z/VSE components such as POWER with configuration/setup, and support products (FAQS, Condor, CA DYNAM, Velocity z/VPS, VTAM, TCP/IP, PRSM, EPIC DASD and TAPE management, VTS, security, and monitoring systems) is required, with experience running z/VSE in both LPAR and under z/VM. Experience installing IDMS and CICS is also desired. Key Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership within the Global Technical Systems Business Unit
Provide technical support for hardware and software solutions
Possess communication skills to participate in client/team/business unit meetings and document for client operational meetings
Enhance the performance of others through mentoring and guidance
Stay abreast of changes in standards, technologies or methodologies
Update weekly SW dashboards/scorecards
Provide risk assessment and risk management
Review assignments for accuracy and quality where applicable
Facilitate and coordinate software releases/upgrades or large projects
Collaborate with other departments, teams, and clients
Adhere to completion of personnel, departmental, and company goals
Upgrade/maintain multiple z/VSE operating systems across diverse environments
Upgrade/maintain additional third-party products
z/VSE tuning for capacity and throughput
On-call 24 x 7 rotation for z/VSE support
Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience
Fluent in VSE JCL and ability to advise application teams on JCL issues
Installation and administration knowledge of ISV and IBM z/VSE software
Microsoft Office skills
Knowledge of application environments including RPG, COBOL, Assembler, and REXX
Experience with IBM Z hardware and general networking concepts
Working knowledge of using z/VM including CP and CMS

Additional Information
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $80,000 to $148,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
