Responsible for serving as the company's principal state government affairs advocate and will represent the company's position on legislation to elected representatives, officials, and staff in regulatory agencies and the executive branch for an assigned geographic area or region. Develop and maintain strong external relationships with state and local policymakers, industry groups, and patient and professional organizations within a specified geographic area or region. All engagement shall be conducted in compliance with our code of conduct and all applicable state and local lobbying laws and regulations. Implement strategies and tactics to shape and influence state policies through a combination of direct lobbying and legislative coalition-building. Participate in political fundraising events and the company's PAC activity. Lead project initiatives and facilitate collaboration with a team of legislative and alliance development consultants and lobbyists to provide direction on approaches and deliver results. Develop relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including industry groups, companies, think tanks, business trade associations, and patient/provider groups, to advance the company's agenda. Represent the company at key state/national stakeholder meetings and engage with key external partners to identify opportunities for collaboration to advance common policy priorities. Work closely with various internal business units to provide strategic counsel, including providing regular updates, conducting briefings, presenting at internal meetings, and staffing senior leadership during state engagements. Collaborate with the internal cross-functional advocacy team to execute on the strategic and tactical plan and identify opportunities for engagement with external partners in a constantly changing environment. Responsibilities

Ensure all engagements comply with the code of conduct and applicable lobbying laws and regulations. Implement strategies and tactics to shape and influence state policies through direct lobbying and legislative coalition-building. Participate in political fundraising events and the company's PAC activity. Lead projects and coordinate with a team of legislative and alliance development consultants and lobbyists to provide direction and deliver results. Develop relationships with stakeholders such as industry groups, companies, think tanks, business trade associations, and patient/provider groups to advance the company's agenda. Represent the company at key state/national stakeholder meetings and engage with external partners to identify collaboration opportunities for policy priorities. Work with internal business units to provide strategic counsel, briefings, internal presentations, and staffing for state engagements. Collaborate with the internal advocacy team to execute the strategic and tactical plan and identify engagement opportunities with external partners in a changing environment. Qualifications

Master's or Juris Doctorate degree preferred. Eight years of experience in state government, government affairs/advocacy, health policy, or relevant industry experience. Optical industry and managed vision care experience preferred. Experience engaging stakeholders and navigating political relationships to drive policy agendas. Ability to manage multiple projects with varied time horizons. Understanding of the intersection between policy and business strategy/outcomes. Business acumen with knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes and their impact on business units. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. Good judgment in setting strategic policy priorities considering political and communications factors. Ability to work independently and with a team, delivering timely, high-quality work with limited supervision. Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%. Role coverage to include Florida to Virginia; successful candidates are expected to reside in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, or Virginia. Compensation and Notices

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. This role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.
