Overview
Network Technician II with MSP Experience Pasadena, CA. Join 5x5 Telecom as a hands-on technician focusing on network support, installation, and proactive maintenance in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day network support, monitor alerts, resolve trouble tickets, and respond to customer inquiries. Serve as Tier 1 escalation point; perform root-cause analysis and corrective action, including after-hours on-call rotation. Perform onsite and remote installations of routers, switches, microwave radios, and VoIP equipment. Travel to customer/network sites for maintenance, troubleshooting, and deployments; perform fiber and copper cabling and testing. Install equipment at heights; perform ladder work and physical labor as required. Maintain network documentation, inventory logs, and configuration records. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues using tools such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, CW Automate, and GravityZone Bitdefender; provide basic end-user training. Collaborate with IT teams and communicate status to users and leadership. Qualifications
Certifications: CCNA or Network+ preferred. Experience: 24 years in network support, desktop support, or related technical role, ideally in an MSP setting. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of networking protocols, system administration, and diagnostic tools. Software Familiarity: Office 365, SharePoint, Adobe, Google Workspace, CW Automate, Synology. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work at heights, and travel regularly to client sites. Transportation: Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required.
