Sr. Technical Lead - SQL Database Developer

The Hartford is seeking a .NET and SQL Tech Lead to join the Global Specialty IT team supporting our Finance applications. You will have the opportunity to work on highly visible and critical financial system integrations. You will gain insight into the numbers behind how the insurance industry functions. You will be a part of our modernization journey adopting DevOps practices and Agile methodologies. You will be leading the engineering of business requirements. This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and enforce the vision of the application architecture Skilled in Power BI and SSRS report development, including drill-down, drill-through, sub-reports, and custom expressions. Design, develop, and turn raw data into actionable insights using interactive dashboards and reports Safeguard the integrity of the application environment in alliance with architects and other tech leads Participate in all parts of SDLC - Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment Design and develop complex SQL, SSIS, SSRS code after writing detailed technical design specifications Write scalable code in .NET (C#) applications Drive technical innovation through newly identified and leading technologies Possess functional knowledge of financial systems and collaborate with Business to deliver with high technical quality Support and quickly respond to production issues and requirements, especially during month-end Manage, integrate and deploy code in multiple environments Support financial month-end activities Prepare comprehensive technical requirements for the development team and oversee their completion Qualifications

Must be authorized to work in the US now and in the future Develop and maintain robust SSIS ETL workflows for diverse data sources, advanced data transformations, and automation Bachelors Degree with 8+ years developing SQL and .NET code Experience leading development efforts of a complex system Strong knowledge in SQL, SSIS and SSRS development Strong knowledge in .NET (C#) and Visual Studio Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to reverse engineer SQL and .NET code Experience supporting Financial systems Self-motivated, analytical, able to manage multiple priorities, and detail-oriented Experience designing and implementing Microservices or API-based integrations Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD and automated testing and code analysis tools Interest in technology trends in AI and cloud as they relate to Financial systems in AWS Strong skills in Excel and MS 365 Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills Additional notes:

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position. Compensation

The provided base pay range is $114,160 - $171,240 annually and may vary based on factors including performance and competencies. The Hartfords total compensation package includes other rewards such as bonuses and incentives. The base pay is one component of the package.
