Research Engineer/Scientist 1 (24188) COBRA. This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HIIs Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems focuses on cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. The role supports the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative, focusing on multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. HII Mission Technologies Defense and national security programs span cybersecurity, data analytics, systems engineering, and related services for the DoD and federal partners. Develop and research new concepts, processes, or technology. Collect information and data, analyze it, perform tests, and create optimal solutions to meet mission needs. Work with emerging technologies to deploy to new and existing systems. Participate in the full research and development lifecycle. Collaborate with Weapon Systems Engineers to develop and maintain weapon systems (e.g., Minuteman III). Conduct research and writing support on topics within the scientific and technology community to support warfighting objectives. Minimum Qualifications
0 years experience with a Bachelor's in a related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years relevant experience. Must possess an active Top Secret Clearance at the time of application. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proven track record of contributing to successful team outcomes. Preferred Requirements
Knowledge of DoD acquisition and contracting processes. Working familiarity with federal compliance standards (e.g., DFARS, ITAR). PMP, CISSP, or other relevant certifications preferred. Physical Requirements
