Legal Secretary Position
We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in El Segundo, California. This is a long-term contract position supporting litigation attorneys in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role offers a hybrid schedule with two days onsite and three days remote each week, providing flexibility while maintaining collaboration. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys, ensuring all case-related tasks are handled efficiently. Manage and maintain calendars, deadlines, and critical dates using Clio software. Handle electronic filing in state courts and coordinate attorney service requests through the firm's portal. Schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings with precision and attention to detail. Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and shells, ensuring accuracy and professionalism. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience within a law firm environment. Demonstrated expertise in calendaring and case management, with Clio experience preferred. Proficiency in e-filing processes within state courts. Ability to manage high-volume trial preparation tasks in a fast-paced setting. Strong organizational and communication skills to support multiple attorneys effectively. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, Dropbox, and Westlaw is a plus. Experience with billing time for paralegal or legal secretary tasks is desirable.
