Overview
The Front End Developer is responsible for the design, coding, testing, and implementation of new firm applications which support the business needs of the Compliance Department. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain new user applications using application lifecycle management tools such as Jira and Confluence. Work as an integral member of technical teams, supporting standard SDLC phases by interpreting program specifications, providing analysis, contributing to design, and programming/coding. Debug programs and troubleshoot application issues in production and development. Participate in walk-throughs reviewing program specifications, source code, and all technical supporting documentation, including screens and reports. Execute unit test plans, document test results, and resolve discrepancies as deemed appropriate. Self-motivated to research, learn, and apply current technology to solve business challenges. Ability to work independently with some guidance. Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related work experience required. At least 8+ years Web-Development experience, with core understanding of UX and layout. Excellent understanding of JavaScript/JavaScript Frameworks, jQuery, Grunt, Gulp, Bootstrap, Node.js, XML, Servlet, JSP, JSON, and AJAX. Proficient in AngularJS (2.0) with significant experience working with AngularJS (1.x) is a big plus. Experienced in web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3. Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS. Extensive experience with SOAP/REST web service development and Spring. Working knowledge of frameworks like Hibernate and ORM. Experience in BPM and Rules Engine is a plus.
