Senior Associate, Quality Assurance

Support external or internal testing requests related to test scoping and execution, including application-level setup within OCCs Ovation system, creation of testing inputs, initiating and monitoring the applicable jobs, and confirming outbound data files and reports are produced. This may involve multiple areas of Ovation including Clearing, Data, and downstream Risk/Margin systems, and DDS. Assist in test planning and preparation, execution, and troubleshooting with external parties. Support connectivity and DDS requests as required to facilitate testing or support Production. Work with external/internal parties to scope testing efforts, ensuring test scope is complete and accurate. Support externally requested testing of real-time and batch data interfaces, facilitating roundtrip testing through OCC systems for onboarding or expanded external capabilities and software. Coordinate test and production SFTP and MQ connectivity from request through verification. Assist in testing and DDS setup of new and maintenance of existing DDS packages. Create, execute and monitor test plans and strategies, including environment and data setup. Address external testing party questions, provide troubleshooting as needed, and confirm test completion. Coordinate with applicable business areas as needed when testing; participate in project meetings to provide testing status and report missing or incomplete capabilities identified during testing. Document software defects and coordinate with design/technical staff to facilitate resolution. Understand environment requirements and implement maintenance activities including upgrades, analyzing impacts to active test environments and coordinating the implementation of changes. Communicate time delays or defects clearly to testing parties, team members and management. Complete various projects and initiatives as assigned by management. Qualifications
Required: Basic knowledge of a development lifecycle under Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies. Required: Broad knowledge of lifecycle development, change control management, and test planning management. Required: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose defects and clearly communicate findings. Required: Strong communication skills, written and verbal, time management, and ability to work effectively with clients, management and staff. Required: Highly motivated self-starter with creative problem-solving skills. Required: Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced Agile environment. Required: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with internal/external customers and multiple levels of management. Required: Ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical users. Technical Skills: Broad knowledge of systems and application development technologies (Java, JSP, Servlet, C++, HTML, Unix/Linux, SQL); Mainframe (TSO navigation, basic file editing, job monitoring); Unix/Linux (basic VI Editor skills); Cloud services and scheduling packages (UC4, CA7, Autosys). Required: Proficiency in SQL (DB2, SQL Server) and relational database concepts. Required: Familiarity with XML concepts and structures. Required: Familiarity with real-time (MQ) and batch (SFTP, Connect:Direct) protocols. Programming/Scripting knowledge in Java, VBScript, or Python. Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience: 1+ years in system analysis and application testing; experience developing test scopes, plans, and tests. The salary range listed is exclusive of benefits and bonuses. Final base salary will be determined by factors such as skills, experience, and education. OCC applies pay equity considerations.
