About the Role
We are looking for a talented Director of Development for the College of Humanities & Sciences. This is a key leadership role where you will act as the principal development officer and a strategic partner in fundraising efforts. You will collaborate closely with the dean and academic leaders to help achieve the college's ambitious fundraising goals.
Your responsibilities will include crafting and assessing both annual and long-term fundraising strategies, managing relationships with top-tier individual and corporate prospects, and mentoring a dedicated team of fundraising professionals. Additionally, you will integrate a variety of stakeholders into development initiatives, prepare comprehensive briefing documents, and maintain accurate records of all donor engagements.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a Master's degree or advanced professional experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in fundraising, particularly within higher education or healthcare settings, is strongly desired. You must demonstrate a successful track record of securing and nurturing significant gifts while possessing excellent interpersonal skills to navigate our complex environment successfully.
We seek someone who is deeply passionate about the institution's mission, committed to delivering exceptional service, and personally dedicated to the fundraising field.
