Overview
We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work within the DuPage County Board Office as an Administrative Support Coordinator. As a Part-Time Administrative Support Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work with Full-Time staff members to help keep the County Board Office running smoothly. This position will interact with a variety of County Staff, Elected Officials, and other community members. This position is eligible for time off with pay on Designated Holidays or holiday pay if required to work, Vacation time, and Paid Leave at a proportional rate based on number of hours of regularly scheduled to work. Serves as liaison to both internal and external contacts regarding administrative operations and issues Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, Elected Officials, and the public Coordinates meeting and appointment scheduling for the Chief Administrative Officer Receives and responds to requests from the public, Department Heads, Elected Officials, and other employees Prepares County resolutions, letters and memoranda for signature Acts as a subject matter expert in the Legistar software by troubleshooting and coordinating training for other administrative professionals Supports meeting and appointment scheduling for the County Board Chair Follows through on constituent and information requests, projects and pending matters Organizes and expedites the flow of work through the office for assigned tasks Coordinates special projects involving research and investigation Develops policies and procedures related to the functions of the office Participates in management planning meetings and related activities Provides secretarial support to assigned boards and committees Organizes and maintains files for the County Board Office Assists in preparing proclamations, notices, and detailed agendas Manages travel arrangements and reimbursements Organizes and prepares documents requiring the integration of multiple department technology and software applications Works with leadership to keep them informed of issues Files documents alphabetically, numerically, or by other prescribed methods Act as a lead worker or supervise subordinate staff as assigned
Requirements
Completion of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma equivalent 6 (six) years of progressively responsible experience performing a variety of administrative responsibilities including, budget preparation, public relations, personnel or office management A passing score on Basic Word and Excel are required A pre-employment background check is required.
