Well established builder in the DMV area is seeking a skilled PM with extensive mechanical/HVAC experience to join their growing team! We are currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Construction Project Manager - Mechanical to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to handle a variety of mechanical projects, including HVAC, renovation, restoration, hospital construction, and remodels. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial concept, design, and planning to installation, testing, and handover. Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of mechanical construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project goals are met. Prepare and present project proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets. Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment. Monitor project progress, anticipate and mitigate potential risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and laws. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and all other stakeholders. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the construction process. Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders. Qualifications
A bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical project management, specifically in the construction industry. Proven experience in managing HVAC projects, renovation, restoration, hospital construction, and remodels. Proficient in the management of piping, duct, chiller, and boiler systems. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Excellent project management and leadership skills. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using project management software and tools. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed. Employment type
