We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on QA Automation Engineer to support testing efforts across mobile and web-based applications. This engineer will help drive the quality of key enterprise platforms by building and executing robust automated and manual tests, contributing to test frameworks, and validating integrations across APIs, data pipelines, and backend systems. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and execute manual and automated test cases for mobile and web applications using tools such as Appium, Selenium, and Java-based frameworks. Perform end-to-end API testing using tools like Postman and Rest Assured to validate backend services, integrations, and data contracts. Develop automation scripts using Java, leveraging test frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG) and following coding best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and UX designers to clarify requirements and define test coverage. Execute data validation and backend testing using SQL, ensuring accuracy of data processing and analytics results across platforms like Databricks and Azure Data Factory. Conduct mobile-specific test automation (using Appium) for both Android and iOS platformsverifying functionality, UI responsiveness, device compatibility, and edge cases. Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retros) and contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices and automation pipelines. Track and manage bugs and test coverage through tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps, maintaining clear documentation of test execution and results. Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and performance testing to ensure stability and responsiveness of applications after new releases or integrations.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in QA Engineering with a focus on both automation and manual testing. Hands-on experience with Java, test automation frameworks, and mobile testing tools. Strong knowledge of API testing concepts, tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured), and backend data flows. Proficiency with SQL and validating data across complex pipelines or integrations. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar ETL/data validation environments. Experience in Agile environments, including active participation in SCRUM team activities. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Azure Load Testing). Prior experience testing enterprise mobile platforms or backend-integrated systems is a plus. Preferred experience with Appium
