Overview
WTS has partnered with an Alabama startup to hire an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver technology projects across the organization. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives that support SaaS platforms, infrastructure, and customer-facing solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with proven experience managing cross-functional teams, delivering complex projects on time and within budget, and aligning technology initiatives with business goals. Location
Birmingham, AL (central Alabama area) hybrid role; applications from within a reasonable commute are encouraged. Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects across software, infrastructure, and integrations. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Facilitate communication across engineering, product, and business teams to ensure alignment. Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve project issues proactively. Ensure adherence to project management best practices, standards, and compliance requirements. Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers as needed. Prepare regular project updates and status reports for leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; PMP or Agile certification preferred. 5+ years of experience managing IT or software development projects. Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion. Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), and enterprise IT systems. Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or MS Project. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Seniority level
