Overview
Business Development Representative - West | CONMED Corporation The Business Development Representative is responsible for meeting goals and objectives by covering all sales functions in an assigned territory, forecasting, soliciting and securing orders from potential and existing customers. The BDR will work in coordination with Associate Sales Reps, Director of Sales and Healthcare Solutions on selling opportunities. The primary duty involves generating, tracking and following up on leads within the assigned territory. Responsibilities
Generate sales by contacting customers identified as targets within the assigned geographic region. When required, provide formal quotes, conduct training, provide demonstrations, and offer clinical education via electronic means. Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas; track performance against quota and strive to achieve objectives. Create and maintain Opportunities within the company's CRM platform. Estimate opportunity value, advance opportunities through stages, document conversations, and update contact information for all accounts within the territory. Maintain accurate forecasting through pipeline management and forecast discipline to ensure regional forecast accuracy. Collaborate with Marketing on sales plans targeting existing customers and developing new market opportunities. Execute specific Business Plans for internal management and CONMED sales channels. Ensure compliance with established policies and business practices. Demonstrate commitment to tasks and responsibilities, integrity, strong work ethic, and customer satisfaction. Document and obtain approvals for special pricing or other customer agreements and channel contract terms when necessary. Build and maintain professional, responsive, high-integrity relationships. Exercise good judgment to pursue opportunities and drive over-achievement of business goals. Travel as necessary to achieve business objectives. Gather information and convey it to Marketing and document in the CRM program. Work closely with the Director of Sales to align targets, coordinate local sales activities, and build a robust opportunity pipeline. Participate in training sessions, meetings, skill-building, and professional development classes; attend National and Regional Sales Meetings. Perform other duties as assigned and requested. Requirements
Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of sales experience; prior medical device sales experience preferred. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly proficient computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Docs, and CRM. Note: This position is not eligible for employer-based visa sponsorship. Disclosure: The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 - $62,000 with bonus opportunity.
