We are recruiting for an Underwriting Specialist to join our team.

This role will be hybrid in Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC or Tampa, FL. Responsibilities

Evaluate and apply underwriting judgement to price and negotiate large and complex accounts in alignment with Amerisure risk evaluation process and renewal framework. Assess and select for new business opportunities to align with Amerisure’s profitability goals and risk appetite. Provide service excellence to agency partners, adhering to established service standards to support agency relationships and business objectives. Develop and maintain relationships with key agency contacts to enable successful negotiation and ensure successful account acquisition and retention. Attain established underwriting performance metrics for both new and renewal accounts. Maintain organized and thorough underwriting documentation in accordance with Amerisure’s standards and guidelines. Utilize underwriting tools to effectively support risk assessment and decision-making. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience. 3 or more years underwriting experience in commercial middle market insurance with exposure to large and complex accounts. Manufacturing & property expertise a plus. CIC, CPCU, AU designations preferred. Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers. Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Ability to travel up to 20%. Job Details
