Security position available at Saint Thomas Rutherford hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Full-time schedule includes three 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am) and one 6-hour shift per week. Responsibilities include providing security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors, performing proactive monitoring and timely responses to potential/actual security threats, investigating, documenting and managing security incidents and hazards, maintaining knowledge and following policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans, facilitating planned drills and simulations, and providing information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety. Requirements include Security Guard credential from the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date, BLS Provider preferred, High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, and Tennessee Driver's License preferred. An Armed Security Guard license from the State of Tennessee (TN Guard Card) is required upon hire and Tennessee Driver's License is required. Previous armed security experience is preferred.
