The Houston Botanic Garden seeks an inspiring Director of Horticulture to lead its horticulture team in creating world-class displays, managing living collections, and advancing our mission of education, conservation, and sustainability. This role provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for staff, interns, and volunteers while ensuring the highest horticultural standards. Responsibilities
Oversee plant health, nurseries, propagation, and records; guide garden design and development; and manage budgets and capital projects. Lead the horticulture team in creating world-class displays and stewarding living collections. Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for staff, interns, and volunteers, ensuring the highest horticultural standards. Communicate and collaborate with diverse audiences; represent Houston Botanic Garden with donors, partners, and the public. Support education, conservation, and sustainability initiatives aligned with the Gardens mission. Qualifications
Experience: Senior A skilled communicator and collaborator capable of inspiring diverse audiences and working with donors, partners, and the public. Additional Information
