Data Specialist CDO Global Black Belt at Microsoft. Focus is on driving adoption of Azure Data & AI Services, particularly for MACC (Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment) accounts. The role engages with CDOs of large accounts and in complex competitive situations, documents best practices, and guides the broader field on winning formulas for CDO engagements. Responsibilities

Accelerate Data & AI growth while informing Product Excellence and Go-To-Market strategies using insights from engagements. Establish trusted advisor relationships with senior executives (CDO, CIO, CISO, CTO) in top accounts by delivering value through Azure-led innovation and participating in CDO community forums and executive panels. Influence CDOs to standardize on Microsoft Data & AI platforms end-to-end across Analytics, Data Governance, and Databases to support AI transformation. Drive growth of Azure Data Services in key accounts with a focus on MACC accounts; aim to increase Azure Data Services share of Azure Consumed Revenue in MACC agreements. Identify and remove blockers to customer progress; support deal strategy with deep expertise in top partner offerings, pricing/SKU/models, use case scenarios, and business value articulation. Develop competitive strategies against major cloud providers and demonstrate superior solutions to secure business commitments. Spot repeatable sales patterns and scale them across the field; provide thought leadership and knowledge transfer to sales roles through deal coaching and training. Contribute to a feedback loop with Go-To-Market teams to capture insights from customer engagements and field feedback to shape sales strategies. Represent thought leadership by speaking at events, publishing articles, and sharing best practices. Key Outcomes

Increase Azure Data Services share of ACR in MACC accounts. Enhance consistency and effectiveness in CDO engagements across time zones. Document best practices and winning formulas for CDO engagements. Execute Data & AI solution plays that drive business growth and customer success. Other Responsibilities

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR equivalent experience. 6+ years of experience leading the sales of large cloud engagements, especially those involving Data, Analytics and AI solutions to large/global enterprise customers. Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Technology, Information Security, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 12+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management 6+ years of solution or services sales experience. Sales Account Planning and Management: disciplined pipeline management, understanding of licensing, deal negotiation, partner ecosystems, and leveraging partner solutions. Executive Presence: experience selling to senior decision makers with clear articulation of business value and ROI. Collaborative: ability to orchestrate and influence virtual sales/technical teams. Consumption Business Strategy / Project Management: experience with cloud adoption methodologies to structure migration projects. Deep understanding of Microsoft Data platform and Azure Data & AI Services. Competitive Landscape: knowledge of enterprise software, AWS, and GCP.
