Overview

Recovery House Manager role at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital. The Recovery House Manager works directly with people in early recovery, providing structure and support while seeking to establish stable long-term recovery from a substance use disorder. The Recovery House Manager oversees daily operations of the residence, including managing daily housekeeping tasks, facilitating weekly House Meetings, conducting inspections, coordinating random drug testing, and coordinating with outpatient treatment staff, as well as providing a safe environment for clients in early recovery. Responsibilities

Works directly with people in early recovery, providing structure and support while seeking to establish stable long-term recovery from a substance use disorder. Oversees daily operations of the residence, including managing and coordinating daily housekeeping tasks, facilitating weekly House Meetings, conducting inspections, arranging random drug testing, and coordinating with outpatient treatment staff, as well as providing a safe environment for clients in early recovery. On call, as needed. Participate in in-service programs. Participate in annual recertification training, compliance training, HIPAA training. Perform all other related duties as assigned by management. Required Education & Qualifications

High School education or equivalent GED required. BLS/First Aid required. Ability to maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance required. Preferred Skills/Abilities

A combination of relevant work experience, education/professional certifications (e.g., CASAC, CARC, CRPA) and personal experience will also be considered. Knowledge of community resources as demonstrated by one year continuous professional, personal, or educational experience in the healthcare field. Minimum of one year experience in an outpatient setting in the capacity of case management, or more concrete services for referrals or housing. Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to respond quickly, communicate orally and in writing, and use stairs in an emergent situation. Extended periods of sitting in a vehicle and driving. Must be able to fully participate in Crisis Prevention. Special Notes

Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established based on relevant experience. The above salary range represents Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospitals good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Your total compensation goes beyond the number in your paycheck. Pre-employment Requirements

Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton Hospitals Employee Health Services. Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three professional references. Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen. Meet regulatory requirements for pre-employment screenings. Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s). Note
